What the service is
We aggregate publicly available temporary phone numbers and the SMS messages they receive, and present them in one place. We do not own the numbers, do not operate the underlying networks, and cannot guarantee that any given number is reachable, that a message will arrive, or that a code will still be valid when it does.
The numbers are public
Every number listed here is shared. Anyone can read anything sent to it. The numbers are intended for throwaway sign-ups and testing only. Do not use them for banking, government services, your primary email, healthcare, or any account whose loss would matter to you. Any account you register with a public number can be taken over by someone else who reads the same message.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the service for fraud, impersonation, harassment, spam, or to evade a ban or a legal obligation.
- Do not use it to break the terms of another service where doing so is unlawful.
- Do not scrape, mirror, or automate bulk requests against this site; the API endpoints are for the site's own pages.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the service or gain unauthorised access to any part of it.
Advertising
The site is free and paid for by advertising. Ads are labelled and are served by third parties; their content is not an endorsement, and any dealing with an advertiser is between you and them.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. Numbers rotate, sources go offline, and messages can be delayed or missing. We do not guarantee availability, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the service — including a lost account, an intercepted code, a missed message, or reliance on anything published here.
Intellectual property
The site's design, text and code are ours. Message content belongs to whoever sent it. Brand names and trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their owners; receive-sms.app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the services whose codes appear here.
Removal requests
If a message published here contains your personal information, or you are a rights holder with a complaint, email contact@receive-sms.app with the number and the message and we will remove it.
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
